While driving through Ohio we were looking for a point of interest for an afternoon stop. Josephine found a red dot on the road atlas marked Ohio Caverns, located approximately 1 hour west of Columbus. It seemed like an interesting choice, so we made Ohio Caverns our afternoon destination. The location was out in the country and the parking lot was practically empty when we arrived. We purchased tour tickets and found that we were the only people on that tour. A private tour of our own, not bad. These caverns may be small compared to others but, WOW!!! The caverns are decorated with beautiful formations, everywhere. It's difficult to find the words to describe the beauty inside the caverns. This place is a must see location if passing through the area. Very impressive.
