Trailside Museum, University of Nebraska, Nebraska

This museum is here on Fort Robinson but it is run by University of Nebraska. The skeletons that you see are actual bones and not replicas as we had seen in the past. The last picture is of two mammoths fighting and according to the museum, locked tusks and drug each other down in the muck and died. One could not get up without bearing the weight of the other. The inset shows the artist depiction of the fight and the bones you see are the actual bones that were excavated. They were found in 1962, only 13 miles from this park.
