Crater Lake National Park, Oregon

Upon our arrival at Crater Lake National Park and seeing the lake, we had the same awe inspiring feeling as when we saw the Grand Canyon for the first time. The beauty of this park is impossible to describe with words and pictures don't really do it justice. This lake was created after a volcano erupted with such great force that it caved in on itself and dropped the earth 5,000 feet inside the volcano creating this large crater. The rain and snow has since filled it and created a beautiful blue lake. This park is a MUST see for anyone visiting the northwest. Oh, by the way, this lake is almost six miles wide and sits on top of a mountain.
