Our trip to Lassen Volcanic National Park on 04 October was very COOL, literally. The weather forecast was 55 degrees and partly cloudy with a 30% chance of isolated showers. When we arrived at the park entrance the temperature was 42 degrees and raining. As we drove further into the park and into the higher elevations the temperature dropped to 36 degrees and the rain turned to snow. The weather may have been cold and wet but the park scenery was beautiful.
