Morrow Point Dam, Mesa Ceek Trail, Curecanti National Recreation Area, Colorado






We drove over to the dam and took a hike along the water's edge . In one of the pictures you can see where the two rivers meet, one looks muddy and the other one looks green. The trail, 1.5 miles long, was below the dam which was built in the gorge of the canyon. The train in the picture was the actual train used along this river and sits on the last remaining trussel section of the original 1800's railway. The tracks were only 3 feet wide and the train was really small compared to the ones today.
