Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado

Yesterday we drove across the Rocky Mountain National Park. It's approximately 40 miles from the east entrance to the west entrance, changes in elevation from 6000 to over 12,000 feet (well above the treeline) and changed in temperature from 87 degrees at the bottom to 54 degrees at the top. The top of the mountains looked barren while the bottoms were green with trees everywhere. Amazing.
